Privacy & analytics

We use Cloudflare to host this website and measure how it is used. We don’t use advertising trackers, session recordings, or tracking cookies.

Website measurements

Cloudflare Web Analytics, when enabled, reports visits, page views, referral sources, and page performance. Our engagement measurements count which sections appear in the center of the screen, approximate active time there, and clicks on the submission invitations and email fallback.

The engagement tracker runs only on the public ChangeClause domain. It pauses when the page is hidden or unfocused, stops counting after a minute without interaction, and honors Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. It sends only predefined page, section, and action labels plus elapsed seconds. It does not send email drafts, names, visitor identifiers, or URL query strings.

These measurements estimate interest; they cannot tell us what someone actually read. Cloudflare processes ordinary connection information to deliver and protect the site.

Newsletter updates

When you sign up for updates, we store your email address (in lowercase), its status (pending, confirmed, or unsubscribed), where you signed up, and when you signed up, confirmed, or unsubscribed. We store only one-way hashes of the confirmation and unsubscribe links, not the links. We use the address only to send ChangeClause updates. We do not sell or share it, and we do not add form submissions to the list.

We send a confirmation email first. Nothing else arrives until you click its link. The link works for 48 hours. If you do not confirm, we delete the signup after 30 days. Every email has an unsubscribe link. It works at once, with no login and no further email.

After you unsubscribe, we keep the address marked as unsubscribed so that we do not write to it again. To delete it completely, write to the address below.

Cloudflare Turnstile checks signups for automated abuse, and the Worker uses the connection IP for short-lived rate limiting. We do not store the IP with your signup. Turnstile loads only when you start to use the signup form. Resend delivers the emails from no-reply@changeclause.com. Cloudflare, Resend, and your email provider process the address to store and deliver them.

Submissions and email

When you submit the form, we store your description, selected topic, optional email, receipt identifier, and delivery status in Cloudflare D1. We use them to understand real review problems and follow up about your example. Sharing an example does not add you to the newsletter.

Cloudflare Turnstile checks submissions for automated abuse. The Worker verifies its token and uses the connection IP for short-lived rate limiting and verification. We do not store the IP in the submission record. Turnstile processes browser and connection information under Cloudflare’s privacy policy and the Turnstile Privacy Addendum.

We use Resend to deliver your submission to dev@changeclause.com and, if you provide an email, send a thank-you from no-reply@changeclause.com. Replies go to dev@changeclause.com. Our forwarding provider routes these notifications to the project owner’s inbox. Cloudflare, Resend, and the receiving email provider process the data needed to deliver and store these messages.

The alternative email link opens an editable draft in your email app. Nothing is sent until you send it, and the website cannot read the draft. Email-only messages do not trigger the form’s automatic acknowledgment.

Please leave out confidential code, credentials, and private customer data. You can request deletion of your stored submission and correspondence by writing to the address below.
